ABOUT

Mary Cummins BSc, M.A.

As a career and executive coach, Mary has significant experience in career change, transition and management. She has a broad and extensive background and has worked in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Having worked in various positions and settings over many years, including being a Senior Leader in a large public sector organisation, Mary sometimes witnessed people's dissatisfaction with their roles; limited opportunities for progression, poor work life balance or lack of meaningful work. Recognising the impact on their career happiness and general wellbeing prompted Mary’s passion in supporting others to find career fulfilment and satisfaction. Mary focusses on helping her clients to understand clearly the things they can do and love to do.

Mary provides a safe, confidential, creative and non-judgemental space, asking thought-provoking questions, and actively listening to provide insightful feedback, enabling clients explore, reflect and make good decisions. She applies a range of proven tools and techniques in her coaching, as well as drawing on her own personal and professional experience of change and development.

In addition to her coaching qualification (QQI level 6, Distinction), Mary has studied Psychology to degree level and has an M.A. in Learning & Development (consultancy) from UCC. She also holds a Diploma in Training & Development, a Diploma in Social Care and has enjoyed engaging in courses such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Gestalt counselling. Mary is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. (Ireland)
